CHRISTUS Health in Port Arthur, TX is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Family Medicine team for outpatient primary care. You will provide comprehensive care across preventive, acute, and chronic conditions with a focus on patient-centered outcomes.

The ideal candidate has TX licensure as NP/PA and national certification, with prior family medicine experience and strong clinical judgment.

Qualifications

• Current Texas license as NP or PA.
• National certification (AANP, ANCC, or NCCPA).
• Experience as NP or PA required.
• Family medicine or primary care experience preferred.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently in outpatient clinic.

Responsibilities

• Provide full-spectrum family medicine services including preventive care, chronic disease management, and acute illness treatment
• Perform patient evaluations, physical exams, and routine screenings
• Order and interpret laboratory tests, imaging, and other diagnostic studies
• Develop and manage individualized treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians
• Educate patients and families on preventive care, medication management, and lifestyle modifications
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the EMR system
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and clinical staff to ensure coordinated patient care

This position offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive primary care in a supportive outpatient setting focused on delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to the community. The ideal candidate will have prior experience practicing as an NP or PA and be comfortable managing a broad range of primary care conditions.

• Perform patient evaluations, physical exams, and routine screenings

Schedule & Compensation

• Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Outpatient only – no nights or weekends
