CHRISTUS Health in Port Arthur, TX seeks an experienced Nurse Practitioner to join the Family Medicine team in an outpatient setting. You will provide comprehensive primary care, manage a broad range of conditions, and collaborate with supervising physicians.

Requires TX NP license, national certification, and prior NP experience. Outpatient, weekday schedule with competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Current Texas license as a Nurse Practitioner.
• National certification (AANP, ANCC).
• Previous NP experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide full-spectrum family medicine care including preventive and acute care.
• Perform patient evaluations, exams, and routine screenings.
• Order and interpret labs, imaging, and diagnostics.
• Develop and manage individualized treatment plans with physicians.
• Educate patients on preventive care, meds, and lifestyle.
• Document accurately in the EMR and coordinate care with the team.
• Collaborate with physicians and staff for coordinated care.

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our Family Medicine team in Port Arthur, TX. This position offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive primary care in a supportive outpatient setting focused on delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to the community. The ideal candidate will have prior experience practicing as an NP and be comfortable managing a broad range of primary care conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide full-spectrum family medicine services including preventive care, chronic disease management, and acute illness treatment
• Perform patient evaluations, physical exams, and routine screenings
• Order and interpret laboratory tests, imaging, and other diagnostic studies
• Develop and manage individualized treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians
• Educate patients and families on preventive care, medication management, and lifestyle modifications
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the EMR system
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and clinical staff to ensure coordinated patient care

Qualifications

• Current Texas license as a Nurse Practitioner
• National certification (AANP, ANCC)
• Previous experience practicing as an NP required
• Prior family medicine or primary care experience preferred
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently in an outpatient clinic environment

Schedule & Compensation

• Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• Outpatient only - no nights or weekends
