Mass General Brigham is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (APP) to collaborate with hospitalists on the Hospital Medicine Unit at Massachusetts General Hospital. This full-time day-shift role offers 36 or 40 hours per week with direct patient care from admission to discharge.
The ideal candidate has a Master’s Degree in Nursing and MA licensure as RN and NP; experience in inpatient settings is preferred, new graduates welcome with clinical rotations.

This is an innovative opportunity for an Advanced Practice Provider (APP), to collaborate with attending hospitalists on the Hospital Medicine Unit at the Massachusetts General Hospital.
This opportunity includes direct patient care from admission to discharge and a cross-coverage model for general adult inpatient medicine patients and subspecialty services. Each APP manages 6 patients on average, with one admission per day while promoting a cohesive relationship and effort between the hospitalists, private physicians, nurses, and the remainder of the interdisciplinary health care team. Applicants for this position should be patient-centered, motivated, and energetic clinicians that want to be part of a large academic team with MD/DO colleagues and APP peers. The ideal candidate must be a self-starter and able to respond, triage, and systematically care for both non-urgent and acute issues that arise in our patients. This position is for day coverage and APPs may decide between either a 36hr or 40hr position. The day positions is 12 hour coverage model. APPs during day coverage should expect to work from 6:45am – 7:15pm.
PLEASE NOTE: Within the first year, there is an expectation to work every other weekend. This weekend requirement will be reduced in subsequent years.
The Nurse Practitioner (NP) is a licensed provider. The NP is responsible for the assessment and management of various populations of patients, medical and/or surgical, including diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, development of appropriate plans of care and ongoing evaluation.
