Banner University Medical Group seeks a Nurse Practitioner to join the Dermatology team in Tucson. This full-time, outpatient role emphasizes comprehensive dermatologic care, with strong collaboration among physicians, residents, and fellows.

On-the-job training is available for dermatologic procedures, and 50% of practice focuses on general dermatology. Responsibilities include patient management, medication prescribing, coordinating care, and referral for procedures as appropriate.

Qualifications

• NP Certification is required (Open to new grads).
• Dermatologic procedures experience preferred but not required; on-the-job training provided.
• Ability to work with physicians as well as residents and fellows.

Responsibilities

• Comprehensive dermatologic patient management and treatment planning.

• Outpatient dermatology care with daytime hours; no on-call duties.

Banner University Medical Group is growing and interviewing Nurse Practitioners to provide exceptional patient care services as part of the Dermatology team. The position provides exposure to a wide range of procedures complexity levels, and patient cases, with a strong support system to help you develop your expertise. The scope of practice will be based on your skill level and professional interests. At least 50% of the practice focuses on General Dermatology. Responsibilities include comprehensive patient management, prescribing and managing medications, coordinating care, and referring for additional procedures as appropriate.

Practice Highlights

• Full-Time | Monday-Friday | Daytime Hours (One session of 4 hour block per week for Admin time)
• No Call
• 100% Ambulatory; Outpatient Only
• Performs comprehensive skin, hair, and nail examinations and formulates dermatologic diagnoses and treatment plans.
• Obtains and reviews dermatologic and general medical histories, ensuring thorough and accurate documentation in the electronic health record.
• Orders and interprets diagnostic tests such as skin biopsies, fungal cultures, blood work, and imaging studies as appropriate for dermatologic conditions.
• Determines and implements evidence-based treatment plans for a wide range of acute and chronic dermatologic conditions (e.g., acne, eczema, psoriasis, skin infections, and skin cancers).
• Monitors patient progress, evaluates treatment effectiveness, and modifies care plans as clinically indicated.

Minimum Qualifications
