You will oversee training of residents, coordinate clinical care, and collaborate with the University of Arizona and affiliated programs to enhance patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• 3 years of Academic Dermatology experience preferred.
• General Dermatology and Laser/Aesthetics (A mix of consultations and procedures).
• ABD Board Certified in Dermatology.
• Valid AZ Medical License upon start.
• Excellent communicator able to collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team.

Program Director of Dermatology - Tucson, AZ

In partnership with the University of Arizona, Banner University Medical Group is currently hiring a determined leader who is Board Certified in Dermatology for an employed academic medicine position in Tucson, Arizona. This is an excellent opportunity to spearhead a faculty team involved in Dermatology medical education and to grow our department. The individual hired into this role will be both the Residency Program Director for an established department and will also assist in leading clinical care.

As our Program Director, you will help provide comprehensive training in medical and surgical care of the skin, hair and nails. We also have one of the best micrographic surgery and dermatologic oncology fellowships in the Southwest as well as a Dermatologic Research Fellowship that offers a variety of top-notch clinical and research training opportunities.

Qualifications:

• 3 years of Academic Dermatology experience preferred
• General Dermatological and Laser/Aesthetics (A mix of consultations and procedures)
• ABD Board Certified in Dermatology
• Valid AZ Medical License upon start
• Excellent communicator that is able to collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team.
• Faculty appointment is commensurate with experience.

Practice Highlights:

• Full Time Employment (1.0 FTE)
• M-F; 8 AM - 5 PM
• Multispecialty Group: 15 Established Physicians - 9 Dermatology Residents - 1 Fellow - 1 APP
• Main site: Banner University Medical Clinic - Pima Canyon
• Secondary Site: IP call at Banner University Medical Center Tucson (9 mi) and South (16 mi)
• Practice Call Rotation (Excess Call Pay) - Consults Only. (Typically 2.5 weeks per quarter)Patient Load: 12 patients per session on average.
• Support: Scheduling and High Messaging
• Multispecialty Laser and Aesthetic Program
