Job summary

American Family Care Eagle Oaks seeks an Advanced Practice Provider to care for patients within the scope of training. You will collaborate with other providers and staff to ensure efficient patient flow and high patient satisfaction at a franchise location in California.

The role requires board certification and active licensure as a PA or NP, along with DEA/CS credentials as needed. Strong communication and ability to handle emergencies are essential for success.

Qualifications

  • Board certification by ANCC, AANP, or NCCPA is required (ER/UC experience preferred).
  • Active license as Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in the applicable state, plus DEA and CS certifications as required.
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Responsibilities

  • Take complete health histories and develop medical assessments; order labs, imaging and diagnostics as appropriate.
  • Formulate medical diagnoses and initiate therapy or referrals to facilities or resources.
  • Institute emergency measures and stabilization in acute situations as needed.
  • Interpret patient data to determine status and treatment; provide care instructions to patients and families.
  • Collaborate with staff to ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality care.

Job Summary

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) cares for our patients within the scope of training and approved the agreement, as outlined by their governing board. Works collaboratively with other providers and staff to ensure efficient patient flow and a high level of patient satisfaction. This position works directly with a franchised business location. Responsibilities
  • Perform complete, detailed, and accurate health histories, review patient records, develop comprehensive medical assessments, and order laboratory, radiological and diagnostic studies appropriate for complaint, race, sex, and physical condition of the patient
  • Formulate medical and nursing diagnoses and institute therapy or referrals of patients to the appropriate health care facilities, agencies, and other resources of the community or physician
  • Institute emergency measures and emergency treatment or appropriate stabilization measures in situations such as cardiac arrest, shock, hemorrhage, convulsions, poisoning, and allergic reactions
  • Interpret and analyze patient data to determine patient status, patient management and treatment
  • Provide instructions and guidance regarding health care and health care promotion to patients/family/ significant others
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
  • Work collaboratively with staff to ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality care
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Variable schedule, including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
Qualifications
  • Excellent communicator with staff, patients, and family
  • Professional appearance and attitude
  • Board certified by ANCC, AANP, or NCCPA Board Certified – (with 1 yr ER/UC experience preferred)
  • Active and current Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of practice, DEA number, and state-controlled substance certificate, as required
  • Able to multi-task and work independently
  • Ability to perform emergency procedures and interpret clinical data
  • DOT Certification Preferred
