Job summary

Kitchen Tune-Up Bloomfield is seeking a Production Manager to lead five in-house technicians and our subcontractor network across kitchen and bathroom remodeling. You will own the production schedule, direct crews on site, and handle complex installs from start to finish.

You will read plans, supervise cabinetry and finish carpentry, and ensure quality and safety across plumbing, electrical, tile, and waterproofing.

Qualifications

• 5+ years running residential remodeling production, as a superintendent, production manager, or lead foreman.
• Hands-on cabinetry and finish carpentry with working knowledge of bath trades.
• Able to read plans, layouts, and cabinet specifications.
• Valid NJ driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the kitchen and bath crews — five direct reports.
• Own the install calendar across both brands and maintain a rolling look-ahead.
• Resolve site fabrication, layout, and field-condition issues; manage changes.
• Serve as the homeowner’s point of contact from install start to punch complete and communicate daily on active jobs.
• Identify permit requirements and ensure timely documentation and closeout.

Role Summary

The Production Manager owns everything that happens after a project is sold, across both our kitchen and bathroom brands. You run the production schedule, lead the install crews, solve the technical problems the field throws at you, and keep homeowners confident from the first day on site to the final walkthrough.

This is a working leadership role

You’ll direct crews and subcontractors, and pick up the tools yourself: stepping in to keep a job moving, covering a short-staffed crew, and handling the difficult installs personally. You’ll lead five in-house technicians and helpers across kitchen and bath, plus our subcontractor network in plumbing, electrical, tile, countertop, flooring, and painting. If you want a clipboard-only job, this isn’t it.

Key Responsibilities

Crew Leadership

• Lead and develop the kitchen technicians and bath crew — five direct reports
• Set and hold the quality standard on both cabinetry and bathroom work
• Cross-train the team so no single trade depends on one person
• Assign daily work and keep every crew productive

Production Scheduling

• Own the install calendar across both brands
• Maintain a rolling three-week look-ahead so nothing surprises the team
• Schedule and manage subcontractors and hold them to their dates
• Confirm material is on site and complete before work starts

Technical Execution

• Resolve fabrication, layout, and field-condition problems on site
• Kitchen: cabinet refacing, custom cabinet installation, finish carpentry, countertops
• Bath: full bathroom remodels including plumbing, electrical, tile, and waterproofing
• Make the call when a field condition requires a change order, and elevate before work proceeds

Client Experience

• Serve as the homeowner's point of contact from install start through punch complete
• Communicate daily on active jobs — what happened today, what happens tomorrow
• Address concerns on site, professionally and immediately

Permits, Documentation & Closeout

• Identify which projects require permits and by when (our Coordinator files and tracks them)
• Same-day photo documentation in CompanyCam at every stage
• Daily logs in JobTread during install
• Walk every completion, drive the punchlist to zero, execute warranty work

What Success Looks Like

• Every active job has a current schedule, and the crew knows what's coming three weeks out
• No crew arrives before the material does
• Homeowners hear from us every day their job is active
• Punch items close in days, not weeks, and final payments release on time
• The team gets better each quarter because you're training them

Who Should Apply

You've run job sites long enough that you can walk into a half-finished bathroom and know in thirty seconds what went wrong and how to fix it. You'd rather be in the field than behind a desk, but you're disciplined enough to keep a schedule and daily logs up to date without being chased. You want ownership — crew development, subcontractor accountability, margin — not just a task list, and you're looking for a long-term leadership track, not a stopgap.

Qualifications

5+ years running residential remodeling production, as a superintendent, production manager, or lead foreman

• Strong hands‑on skill in cabinetry and finish carpentry, with working knowledge of bath trades (plumbing, electrical, tile) — you must be able to do the work yourself, not just direct it
• Able to read plans, layouts, and cabinet specifications
• Valid NJ driver's license and reliable transportation

Compensation & Benefits

Pay: $85,000–$105,000, based on experience

• Bonus: Performance bonus tied to on-time completion and project gross margin
• Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, field-based across Essex, Morris, and Passaic counties
• Vehicle: Company vehicle or vehicle allowance
• Training: Paid onboarding on our systems, products, and franchise standards
