Kelly Services is seeking a Production Packaging Associate for a premier manufacturing client in Topeka, KS. Pay is $14.00/hour on 1st shift and $15.00/hour on 2nd shift. Shifts run 5am-5pm or 4:45pm-1am, with orientation providing exact schedules.

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of Quality Assurance experience (or equivalent).
  • Basic knowledge of GMPs, food safety, and safety requirements.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently for documentation and communication.
  • Basic computer skills (email, Word, Excel).
  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift up to 40 lbs in varying temperatures.

Responsibilities

  • Monitoring key process control points during production operations to ensure food safety and quality.
  • Documenting and reporting any food safety or quality issues and assisting in determining corrective actions.
  • Performing process verification checks at critical control points according to the facility’s Food Safety and Quality Plans.
  • Verifying production environment conditions such as temperature and sanitizer concentrations.
  • Completing and maintaining records and documentation according to established protocols.
  • Adhering to programs such as HACCP, GMPs, foreign material control, plant sanitation, and product quality assurance.
  • Participating in evaluations of finished products and isolating non-conforming products as needed.

Pay Rate:
  • $14.00/hour for 1st shift
  • $15.00/hour for 2nd shift
Shifts:

1st shift 5am -5 pm

2nd shift 4:45pm to 1am

Exact schedule will be given at orientation

Must be flexible to work overtimes - can be on the weekends

What’s a typical day as Production Packaging Associate? You’ll be:

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
  • 1+ years of Quality Assurance experience (or equivalent)
  • Possess basic knowledge of GMPs, food safety, and safety requirements
  • Can read, write, and speak English proficiently for documentation and communication
  • Have basic computer skills (e.g., email, Word, Excel)
  • Are able to stand, walk, bend, reach, and occasionally lift up to 40 lbs in varying temperatures (25°F to 110°F)
  • Are available for overtime and/or evening or weekend shifts as needed
  • Demonstrate regular attendance and punctuality
