Job summary

Universacare in Waterbury, CT is seeking a compassionate Personal Care Aide (PCA) to support seniors and individuals with disabilities with daily living activities.

This role offers flexible shifts—full-time, part-time, and per diem—with a friendly care team focused on dignity, comfort, and independence. Training may be provided to the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Previous caregiving experience preferred.
• Heart for service and a calm, patient demeanor.
• Reliable transportation and punctuality.
• Ability to pass background checks and health screenings.
• PCA/HHA certification a plus—but we’re willing to train the right person.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care (bathing, dressing, grooming).
• Support mobility and transfers.
• Prepare light meals and assist with feeding.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Help with light housekeeping and errands.
• Monitor and report changes in client condition.
