Job summary

UniversaCare Inc. in Waterbury, CT is seeking a Personal Care Aide (PCA) to assist seniors with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, mobility, meals, and meaningful companionship.

This role offers flexible schedules—full-time, part-time and per diem—with training provided for non-certified applicants. You’ll join a supportive care coordination team that values compassion, reliability and dignity.

Qualifications

• Experience in caregiving pref., formal or informal.
• Heart for service, calm and patient demeanor.
• Reliable transportation and punctuality.
• Ability to pass background checks and health screenings.
• PCA/HHA certification is a plus, but training may be provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care (bathing, dressing, grooming).
• Support mobility and transfers.
• Prepare light meals and assist with feeding.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Help with light housekeeping and errands.
