Job summary

Universacare is seeking a compassionate Personal Care Aide (PCA) to support seniors and individuals with disabilities in Waterbury, CT. Flexible full-time, part-time and per diem shifts are available, with a caring team that values your contribution.

Ideal candidates have caregiving experience and a patient, dependable demeanor. Reliable transportation and the ability to pass background checks and health screenings are required.

Qualifications

• Previous caregiving experience (formal or informal) preferred.
• A heart for service and a calm, patient demeanor.
• Reliable transportation and punctuality.
• Ability to pass background checks and health screenings.
• PCA/HHA certification a plus — training available.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care (bathing, dressing, grooming).
• Support mobility and transfers.
• Prepare light meals and assist with feeding.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Help with light housekeeping and errands.
• Monitor and report changes in client condition.
