Job summary

Home Instead in Ames is seeking compassionate, dependable caregivers for meaningful part-time work that fits your life. You'll help older adults remain safe, independent, and comfortable at home, with shifts in the mornings, afternoons, or evenings.

Starting wage is $17 per hour, plus weekend premium, paid orientation and ongoing training, vacation pay, health insurance and a 401(k) with company match. Opportunities for additional hours and 24/7 on-call support are available.

Qualifications

• Experience in caregiving or passion for helping older adults.
• Reliable, consistent part-time schedule.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Personal care assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Mobility support and help with daily routines.
• Meal preparation and light housekeeping

Part-Time Shifts Available

We're hiring caregivers with consistent availability during one or more of these shifts:

• Morning: 8:00 AM – 12:30 PM
• Afternoon: 12:00 PM – 5:30 PM
• Evening: 5:00 PM – 10:00 PM
