Job summary

Aventura Health Group is seeking a Dietary Aide to support residents by preparing and serving meals while upholding high sanitation standards. You will help ensure a pleasant dining experience, assist with meal delivery, and participate in post-meal cleanup to maintain a clean, efficient kitchen.

The ideal candidate has a background in dietary services, strong communication skills, and the physical stamina to work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as a dietary aide in a care or food-service setting is preferred.
• Knowledge of sanitation and safety guidelines for food handling.
• Ability to prepare meals according to instructions and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Set up tables and dining areas with a focus on cleanliness and order.
• Prepare meals under guidance of a dietary manager or cook, following instructions.
• Deliver dishes and trays to designated rooms and times.
• Assist in post-meal cleanup by clearing dining areas and collecting plates and utensils.
• Maintain hygiene by disposing of leftovers and taking out garbage.
• Keep food stations clean and wash dishes and utensils.
• Monitor ingredient stock levels and help with inventory.
• Assist in upkeep of kitchen equipment and appliances.
