Dallas College is seeking a Notetaker to assist students with disabilities by listening to lectures and providing clear, timely notes. This on-site, part-time role involves using campus technology and coordinating with faculty and staff to ensure accessibility.
The position requires confidentiality, strong communication, and the ability to work with diverse populations. A high school diploma is required, and prior experience with ADA compliance is preferred.
Weekly Work Hours: 19.5
Compensation Range: H24
Hourly Rate: $23.78 Hourly
FLSA: United States of America (Non-Exempt)
Work Location: All positions are considered on-site roles. After six months of employment, some positions may be eligible to apply for a hybrid work arrangement based on job responsibilities, operational needs, supervisor approval, and Dallas College policy. Academic (Faculty) positions require an on-campus presence, even when teaching online courses, in accordance with state law.
Staff Position Summary
Notetakers are responsible for listening and understanding class lectures and taking notes for a student with a disability. Notetakers are responsible to take clear and concise notes, edit and revise notes, and get them to the students within strict time frames.
