Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA required; progressive public accounting experience in not-for-profit sectors.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and not-for-profit reporting requirements.
• Experience with grant and contribution revenue recognition, net asset classifications, endowment accounting, and IRS Form 990 reporting.
• Ability to lead engagements, mentor staff, and manage multiple projects; strong client relationships.
• Excellent communication skills with executive leadership and boards; identify process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Lead assurance engagements for not-for-profit clients, delivering on time and on budget.
• Advise on accounting/regulatory matters, including grant revenue and Form 990 reporting.
• Evaluate internal controls over donations, grants, budgeting, and IT systems.
• Review workpapers, financial statements, and disclosures for GAAP compliance.
• Manage engagement budgets, staffing, and progress toward goals.
• Mentor team members and identify cross-service opportunities.
• Onboard new engagements and foster client relationships.
