Job summary

USI Insurance Services in Norman, OK, seeks an experienced employee benefits professional to manage and retain a book of small accounts. You will serve as day-to-day contact for clients, coordinate renewals, and educate on ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, and Health Care Reform.

You will work independently with a high-volume workload, using carrier portals and online rating systems, and collaborate with teams to deliver accurate, timely service while upholding compliance and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years in employee benefits industry or related marketplace.
• Must hold life and disability insurance license.
• College degree preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Proficient with internet-based programs and Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

• Service a high volume of accounts independently; without sales associate’s involvement.
• Provide proactive, personalized support to assigned clients. Act as primary contact between clients and insurance carriers.
• Provide insurance technical expertise to clients. Educate, advise, and aid clients on all compliance topics (ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, 5500s, Health Care Reform).
• Respond to requests for information, documents, and employee benefits insurance inquiries.
• Manage the renewal process for accounts, including proper contractual changes and communication to insurers and clients.
• Manage marketing and placement process for new benefit offerings; analyze and compare quotes and products; make recommendations.
