The Department of Neurology at Northwell Health - Hofstra Zucker School of Medicine in New York is looking for BC/BE full-time clinical/academic faculty members with Movement Disorders fellowship training. Responsibilities include providing excellent clinical care, participating in innovative care models, engaging in collaborative research, leading community programs, and teaching medical students, residents, and fellows. As the Movement Disorders program expands rapidly, we are hiring for positions at Lenox Hill Hospital in Manhattan, Phelps Hospital in Westchester County, and our integrated outpatient-inpatient-surgical program at Glen Cove Hospital in Long Island.
The Northwell Parkinson's and Movement Disorders program is among the largest in the Northeast, offering comprehensive medical, rehabilitative, and surgical care, including an active deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) program and High-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU).
At Glen Cove Hospital in Long Island, we have established a unique 14-bed inpatient unit dedicated to Parkinson's and movement disorders, providing advanced rehabilitation and medical and surgical optimization for patients with advanced disease, integrated with the DBS program for post-surgical care. This program has recently received Joint Commission certification and is recognized as a leading inpatient program in the US.
The Department of Neurology has experienced significant growth over the past five years, aiming to provide comprehensive, integrated healthcare and wellness services.
