Job summary

The Northview Kids ministry is seeking a director to provide leadership, vision, and creative direction at the campus. The role reports to the Campus Pastor and Family Ministry Pastor, with a dotted line to oversee the Family Ministry.

Key responsibilities include recruiting and training volunteers, coordinating weekend experiences, and collaborating across central and campus teams to ensure family-focused events run smoothly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 3–5+ years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in children’s ministry as a coordinator or director, preferably at a large church.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, vision, and creative direction to the Northview Kids ministry at their campus.
• Recruit and train volunteers consistently; build a healthy volunteer team culture.
• Own the weekend experience and coordinate Northview Kids events with other ministries.
• Ensure child safety through risk management and training practices.
• Communicate regularly with Northview parents about what is happening in Northview Kids.
• Participate in monthly huddles and department meetings.

Purpose of the Role

The Northview Kids Director’s primary responsibility is to provide leadership, vision, and creative direction to the Northview Kids ministry attheircampus.Thispositionis part ofthe Northview Kids Ministry and reports to the Campus Pastorwith a dotted line to the Family Ministry Pastor.

Own the Weekend Experience

Champion The FamilyFramework-Be a Consistent Resource for Families (Relational Care

All Administrative Tasks AssociatedwiththeKid’s Director Role-Rock, Email, Planning Center, Asana,etc.

Identifies and develops leaders to serve in Northview Kids

Recruits, trains, leads, and motivates Northview Kids volunteers. Takes the initiative in building relationships, conducting regular informational/training sessions, and showing appreciation

Helps create and develops a culture that embraces the values, purposes, and directions of the Kids ministries

Participates in Central Collaboration (i.e. Curriculum Pods or Specialty Pods)

Pursues regular contact and relationship building with children and their parents

Ensures Safety of children by identifying and implementing appropriate risk management and training practices

Communicates regularly with Northview parents about what is happening in Northview Kids

Strives to improve personal and professional skills by looking for and participating in learning opportunities

Steps into Northview Kids classrooms to help and encourage volunteers

Coordinates Northview Kids events with other ministries

Ongoing planning and preparation for upcoming campus level Family Framework events

Leads Baby Dedication(2x/year)

Leads Family Rhythms (1x/year)

Host FX (2x/year) and volunteers at FX (2x/year)

Leads Bible Presentation (1x/year)

Leadsvolunteerappreciation events (at least2x/year)

Participates in monthly Huddles and Department meetings

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position works with volunteers and must have an understanding that volunteers are key to the ministry of the church, and the employee must have a heart to recruit, train, equip and support volunteers in fulfilling their roles.
