Job summary

The Energy Authority seeks a Principal Advisor, Northeast Markets, to shape the future of wholesale power markets and advise public power utilities across the Northeast. This senior role blends policy expertise, client advisory, business development, and industry leadership to help clients navigate an evolving energy landscape.

Travel to client locations and industry events is expected as part of building trusted relationships and advancing TEA's strategic initiatives in regional energy markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field required.
• 10+ years experience in wholesale energy markets or related industry.
• Demonstrated expertise in regional wholesale electricity markets, market design, and policy.
• Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
• Proven ability to influence stakeholders and communicate complex market concepts to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic policy analysis, advocacy, and advisory services to TEA and its clients regarding energy, markets, and regulatory developments.
• Educate clients on regional market developments and emerging industry trends.
• Partner with TEA's Portfolio Management team to ensure client strategies evolve with changing market conditions.
• Collaborate with Trading, Analytics, and Portfolio Management teams to develop client-focused market strategies.
• Represent TEA and its clients at regional stakeholder meetings, industry forums, and regulatory conferences.
