Northeast Elementary School in Stamford Public Schools is seeking a Long-Term Substitute Special Education Paraeducator for the 2026-2027 school year to support students under the supervision of a licensed educator.

The role is a daily or long-term substitute; preference will be given to teachers with TESOL, Bilingual Education or ESL credentials, Sheltered Instruction experience, or fluency in another language.

Qualifications

General Statement

The substitute paraeducator replaces the regular paraeducator on either a daily or long term basis.

Note: Teachers dually certified in TESOL, Bilingual Education or ESL, with experience in Sheltered Instruction or fluency in a language other than English, will be given preference for all Stamford Public School positions.

The filling of this position is based upon continued funding in the Board of Education budget.
