Job summary

Grants Pass School District No. 7 seeks a Campus Security Supervisor at North Middle School for 3.75 hours per day. Two positions available for the 2026-2027 school year. Location: North Middle School, Grants Pass, Oregon.

Starting date: Immediately. Salary range $22.70–$32.79 per hour, plus holidays, leaves, and retirement benefits, with non-benefits designation for this limited hour vacancy. Responsibilities include supervising youth, enforcing school rules, and maintaining campus safety.

Qualifications

• Equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade.
• Knowledge of policies and practices of agencies serving youth.
• Able to identify possible student involvement in drugs, gangs or illegal activities.
• Experience supervising youth and handling youth behavior.
• Ability to maintain cooperative relationships with staff, public and students.
• Willing to work in a team to promote attendance matters.
• Eyes and ears of campus; keep safety as top priority.
• Bilingual/biliterate in Spanish preferred.

Location: North Middle School

Position: Campus Security Supervisor (2 positions available)

Hours: 3.75 hours per day

Calendar: 188 days per year (August-June)

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade.
• Must have knowledge of policies and practices of agencies serving youth including school, police, juvenile court, C.S.D, family services, etc.
• Able to identify possible student involvement in drugs, gang activities, or other illegal dangerous activities.
• Should have experience with youth and demonstrated an ability to effectively supervise youth.
• Must establish and maintain cooperative relationships with fellow employees, the general public, and be able to get along well with students while still being willing to hold them accountable for their behavior and choices.
• Ability to make initial inquiries with students into possible violations of GPHS rules and/or District #7 policies while treating students with respect and in a manner that maintains student dignity at all times.
• Willingness and ability to work as a team in establishing and promoting “attendance matters.”
• Willing and able to serve as the eyes and ears of campus and keep the safety of students and staff of highest priority.
• Willing and able to uphold school and district protocols which could occasionally include confronting problematic behavior of unauthorized guests, or those not following school and district protocols.
• Bilingual and biliterate in Spanish preferred.

• Upon selection, employees will be required to pay for the following: $12.50 fingerprinting fee and $78 ODE fingerprinting processing fee.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

• $22.70-$32.79 per hour dependent on approved accepted experience/education.
• Annual COLA pay increase (as negotiated with Oregon Association of Classified Employees)
• Annual step pay increase awarded to eligible employees
• 6 paid holidays per year
• 2 personal days per year
• 10 paid sick leave days per year
• Bereavement leave, as per bargaining agreement
• Continuing Education Funds, up to $1,200 per year
• 6% employee paid contribution towards Oregon Public Employees Retirement System
