About the Role

You’re the first smiling face our guests see every time they enter a Flanigan’s, and likely the last as they go on their merry way. You set the tone for the entire experience, greeting all of our friends and family in a warm and welcoming way. You help usher guests to their tables, manage the flow of seating, field inquiries, and greet people on the way out, just as nicely as on the way in. We’re always looking for the most friendly, hospitable people to join the team.

Responsibilities

• Displays and maintains a cheerful and courteous temperament, and displays a neat and clean professional image
• Greets guests with Flanigan’s "Smile Talk"
• Engages guests in Flanigan’s "Smile Talk" while escorting them to the table in a timely manner
• Efficiently manages the wait list for seating
• Communicates guest questions or concerns to the manager on duty
• Keeps the foyer, host/hostess station, and wait area clean and free of debris; restocks and cleans menus
• Restocks and maintains restroom cleanliness for guests
• Answers telephone within 4 rings, answers guests’ questions, and/or directs guests to the proper staff member
• Concludes guests’ visit with Flanigan’s "Smile Talk"
• Performs shift changes, opening/closing duties, and assigned sidework

Requirements

• Can reach, bend, and stoop frequently
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to speak, read, and write English
• Complete and pass the Florida Responsible Vendor program, in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes
• Complete and pass the food safety certification program, in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes
• Five-day work week
