Job summary

Planned Parenthood North Central States seeks a State Director of External Affairs to lead education, public affairs and fundraising in North Dakota. The role builds partnerships, directs strategy, and oversees office operations, security, and facilities.

The incumbent leads external facing work, aligns health care and education missions, and serves as the senior state staff. Remote work is primary with an available Fargo office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• 10-15 years administrative experience including 5 years in public affairs, development, women’s reproductive health and comprehensive sexual health education or related field.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Lead External Affairs work and manage state board engagement.
• Guide Public Affairs & Advocacy with strategy, budget alignment, and stakeholder networks.
• Oversee PPAN Foundation fundraising and donor engagement.
