We are seeking a technical and driven salesperson with 1-3 years’ experience to fill the North Central Regional Sales Engineer position (IN, MI, & OH). This is a great opportunity for somebody with inside sales and/or customer service experience.

A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Mechanical Engineering from a four-year college or university is required. Some experience in working with industrial applications – especially with conveyors and conveyor belting – is a plus, but not a requirement. Wire Belt will work with the successful candidate on product training and applications knowledge. Onsite training at our New Hampshire headquarters for a period of 6-8 weeks will be provided.

As the North Central Regional Sales Engineer at Wire Belt, you will…

Be responsible for all sales activity in the Eastern North Central United States. These states include Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio.
Candidates must reside in one of these states to be considered for the position. Applications from outside these states will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Build and maintain relationships with decision makers at Key and Target customers, while providing them with technical support.
  2. Coordinate with technical, marketing and research teams to identify best support resources to present product solutions to customers.
  3. Assist customers with tests to ensure that machinery has the capability to carry out desired functions with the company’s products.
  4. Participate in trade shows and other marketing activities as assigned to assist in the identification of opportunities to develop new business.
  5. Partner with inside sales support team in meeting the customer’s needs with order follow-up and satisfaction.
  6. Produce and be accountable for developing annual sales growth opportunities through prospecting and knowledge of existing and potential customer base.
  7. Identify barriers to and provide suggestions for growth in non-penetrated areas.
  8. Engage in use of CRM and other sales tools to ensure that knowledge base is in place and up to date.
  9. Oversee and direct installation of company’s products to ensure that machines and equipment are correctly outfitted and functioning according to specifications.
  10. Troubleshoot applications where company’s products have been installed and assist customers with obtaining optimum life out of company’s products.
  11. Additional duties as assigned.

What We’re Looking For:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Mechanical Engineering from four-year College or university.

You will have the ability to…

  1. Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  2. Interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Additional Info:

  1. Travel to customer locations is necessary and could be up to 75% of the time.
  2. Pay is base + generous incentive package. You will also receive a company car along with our other excellent benefits.
