The role emphasizes USMCA compliance, FTZ optimization, export controls, and cross‑border supply chain risk management. Requires JD, active U.S. bar, and 7+ years in NA trade law.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. state.
• 7+ years of experience in international trade law, preferably in‑house or with manufacturing or metals industries.
• Strong knowledge of U.S., Canada, and Mexico trade regimes and related compliance programs.
• Experience liaising with regulatory agencies and cross‑border teams.

Responsibilities

• Advise on CBP compliance, HTSUS classification, valuation, and origin determinations.
• Counsel on USMCA/CUSMA/T‑MEC requirements and regional trade obligations.
• Guide on tariffs, trade remedies, FTZs, export controls, and sanctions across North America.
• Support supply chain, procurement, and operations in a compliant, risk‑aware manner.
• Develop and deliver international trade compliance training and internal audits.
