Job summary

Brookfield Renewable, a leading global renewable energy company, seeks a Senior Vice President, Technical Services to shape the North America technical vision and oversee engineering, operations, and asset optimization across the region. This executive role reports to the Chief Technical Officer and supports growth through due diligence, development, and M&A initiatives.

The incumbent will bring deep expertise in hydro, wind, solar, storage, and emissions abatement, guiding technology decisions

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive technical leadership in renewable energy, infrastructure, or related industries.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; advanced technical or business degrees considered an asset.
• Extensive experience with design, development, and operation of renewable energy and storage technologies.
• Expertise in technical due diligence, feasibility studies, and managing multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
• Willingness to travel internationally as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership and technical oversight for NA activities related to renewable and low-carbon technologies.
• Lead North America Technical Services efforts aligned with growth and decarbonization goals.
• Drive technical strategy and insights for business development, M&A, and financing activities.
• Evaluate emerging technologies for performance, cost, and alignment with long-term objectives.
• Oversee due diligence, value engineering, and risk identification for acquisitions and development.
• Guide technology selection, facility design, and equipment configuration for long-term value creation.
• Partner with Investment, Development, and Asset Management teams to drive project success.
• Promote innovation and knowledge transfer across the portfolio.
• Represent the company with regulators, partners, investors, and industry groups.
