Job summary

LGC is seeking a senior Payroll leader to oversee US and Canada payrolls, ensuring accurate, on-time payments and alignment with general ledger entries. The role partners with our Tax team and manages a payroll vendor to maintain compliance and efficiency.

You will drive payroll accuracy, stay current with regulations, and guide the payroll team in a fast-paced life sciences environment, supporting employees across North America.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as payroll leader/manager.
• In-depth knowledge of US payroll regulations and benefits.
• Strong understanding of multi-location payroll and taxes.
• Experience with outsourced payroll vendors.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee US & Canada payroll processing and coordination with tax team.
• Ensure timely payroll reconciliation with GL entries.
• Manage payroll changes (hiring, terminations, raises) and vendor relationships.
• Coordinate timekeeping and payroll systems across locations.
• Maintain compliant payroll records and prepare reports.
• Respond to payroll-related inquiries and resolve issues.
