LGC is seeking a Payroll Leader to manage US and Canada payrolls, ensure timely payments, and reconcile payroll with GL entries. You will partner with our outsourced vendor and Tax team to settle federal and local taxes while maintaining strong internal controls.

This role requires analytical, detail-oriented leadership with excellent communication and a focus on compliant, efficient payroll processes. Flexible work options are available with strong benefits for US employees.

• Proven experience as a payroll manager or similar role.
• Current knowledge of payroll procedures and related laws.
• Excellent understanding of multi-location payroll and taxes.
• Familiarity with payroll software/HRIS (e.g. SAP, ADP, Kronos) and MS Office.

Job Description

We're seeking a highly skilled Payroll leader to take charge of our US and Canada payrolls. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure accurate and timely payment of payroll, ensuring that payroll is reconciled with general ledger entries and collaborating with our Tax team to ensure appropriate settlement of Federal and Local taxes. You will have strong experience of partnering with an outsourced payroll vendor, an detailed working knowledge of US benefits to the extent our US benefits programme interacts with payroll.

We are looking for an individual who is analytical, methodical, and experienced in payroll administration. A deep understanding of payroll regulations is crucial. Additionally, we value qualities such as integrity, team spirit, and strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a payroll manager or similar role
• Current knowledge of payroll procedures and related laws
• Excellent understanding of multi-location payroll and taxes
• Familiarity with payroll software/ HRIS (e.g. SAP, ADP, Kronos) and MS Office (especially Excel)
• A keen eye for detail
• An analytical mind and good math skills
• Outstanding communication skills (written and oral)
• Organizational and leadership skills
• BSc/BA in Business Administration, Accounting, Human Resources or related field; professional certification (e.g. CPP, CPM) is a plus
