Job summary

LGC is seeking a Payroll leader to manage US and Canada payrolls, ensuring accurate and timely payments, GL reconciliation, and tax settlements. You will work with our outsourced vendor and internal Tax teams to maintain compliance and efficiency.

The role emphasizes analytical thinking, regulatory knowledge, and strong organizational skills to safeguard financial wellbeing and payroll integrity across locations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as payroll manager or leader.
• Strong knowledge of US payroll procedures, taxes and regulatory requirements.
• Experience with multi-location payroll and benefits integration.
• Familiarity with outsourced payroll vendor relationships.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage payroll transactions (salaries, benefits, garnishments, deductions, taxes).
• Coordinate timekeeping and payroll systems.
• Oversee payroll changes (hires, terminations, raises) and system upgrades.
• Ensure compliance with laws and internal policies.
• Oversee payroll vendor relationship and SLAs.
• Liaise with auditors and manage payroll tax audits.
• Collaborate with HR and finance accounting teams.
• Maintain accurate records and prepare reports.
• Resolve payroll-related questions.
