Meet The People (MTP Group) is seeking a Group General Counsel to lead the legal function for our North American operations, based remotely in the United States and Canada. You will partner with executive leadership and the boards on governance, commercial contracting, and regulatory compliance.

This senior role requires 10–15+ years of legal experience, in-house work, and a strong background in advertising, media, or marketing technology.

Qualifications

• 10-15+ years of legal experience, including substantial in-house experience.
• Prior GC or Assistant GC experience preferred.
• Licensed to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• Strong transactional background with deep experience in commercial contracting (MSAs, SOWs, licensing, etc.).
• Experience in advertising, media, marketing technology, or related industries preferred.

Responsabilités

• Lead the legal function for North American operations and serve as primary legal advisor to executive leadership and boards.
• Manage a high volume of concurrent matters including commercial contracting, governance, employment law, litigation management, and regulatory compliance.
• Structure complex commercial relationships, oversee the commercial insurance program, and lead data privacy and cybersecurity initiatives.
• Advise on legal risks related to generative AI and support strategic initiatives such as M&A and investments.
