Job summary

Dover Fueling Solutions (DFS) is seeking a Director of Environmental Health & Safety to lead EHS strategy across North America sites, including Austin, TX. This role emphasizes environmental compliance, risk management, and sustainability while ensuring robust health and safety programs.

You will partner with site leaders, operations, and corporate EHS to drive regulatory adherence, incident investigations, and continuous improvement, shaping a safer, greener manufacturing and distribution

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in environmental science, environmental engineering, occupational safety, industrial hygiene, engineering, or related field required.
• 15+ years of progressive EHS experience with emphasis on environmental compliance in manufacturing.
• Multi-site North America EHS leadership experience strongly preferred.
• Professional familiarity with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 is preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of the North America EHS strategy, with focus on environmental compliance, risk management, and sustainability performance.
• Establish, implement, and maintain environmental policies, standards, procedures, and management systems across all facilities.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, provincial, and local environmental regulations and requirements.
• Oversee environmental permitting and compliance obligations for all North America sites.
• Direct environmental audits, compliance assessments, and risk reviews.
• Lead environmental incident response, investigations, and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with operations, facilities, engineering, and leadership to evaluate environmental risks.
• Drive standardization and continuous improvement of environmental programs and reporting.
• Oversee data collection and reporting of emissions, waste, water, energy, and sustainability metrics.
