Job summary

Fitch Ratings is looking for an Assistant Controller in our New York office to lead acquisition accounting and integration efforts. This role requires over 8 years of accounting experience, particularly in public accounting or corporate finance, and strong knowledge of US GAAP.

The ideal candidate will oversee North America sales tax compliance, support month-end reporting, and collaborate with various stakeholders to maintain financial integrity. A CPA is highly preferred, and a hybrid work environment is available.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of accounting experience in public accounting and/or corporate finance roles.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• Experience with acquisition accounting.

Responsibilities

• Lead acquisition accounting and support integration of acquired businesses.
• Oversee North America sales tax compliance and related accounting.
• Support month-end close and deliver accurate financial information.
