Job summary

The Nature Conservancy seeks a Deputy Director of Conservation Communications, North America Region to lead communications strategies supporting conservation and fundraising across the U.S., Canada, and the Caribbean. You will guide traditional media, social media, events, and storytelling while overseeing staff and coordinating with policy and climate teams.

Strong candidates bring a minimum of 9 years' related experience, a related degree, and proven ability to manage complex programs,

Qualifications

• Experience developing communications, media and engagement strategies and measuring results.
• Experience cultivating and managing client relationships.
• Experience developing and leading complex projects or programs including financial responsibility and measuring results of strategic plans and programs.
• Bachelor's degree in related field and a minimum of 9 years related work experience or equivalent combination.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage multiple complex projects and initiatives, coordinating work of professionals and budgeting.
• Provide leadership and accountability for staff delivering key communications projects.
• Bridge communication across divisions and with external stakeholders to advance program and fundraising goals.
