Job summary

The Deputy Director of Conservation Communications, North America Region at The Nature Conservancy leads and implements communications strategies to advance conservation and fundraising goals across the region. You will oversee staff, coordinate with internal teams, and cultivate media relations to raise the organization’s profile.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field plus 9+ years of relevant work experience.
• Experience developing communications, media and engagement strategies and measuring results.
• Experience cultivating and managing client relationships.
• Experience developing and leading complex projects or programs including financial responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Design and direct multiple complex communications projects for conservation goals.
• Lead staff and manage budgets to meet strategic objectives.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to strengthen messaging and fundraising.
• Provide coaching on media interviews, presentations and writing.
