The Role
Solera is seeking a detail-oriented, critical thinking and organized Accounts Payable Manager for the North America region to join our team. The Accounts Payable Manager role will be responsible for the timely and accurate processing and payment of vendor invoices across all US entities. Work with the AP Director to develop a monitoring program to ensure that established KPIs are maintained weekly, this includes shared mailboxes and the OCRs (indexing) processes. In addition, ensure that the AP aging reports are reflective of the actual outstanding vendor balances and reconciliations of applicable accounts are accurate and current. Assist in developing and documenting the applicable processes per system. Maintain a qualified staff of members. The role reports to the Director of Global Procure to Pay.

What You’ll Do

  1. Invoice Processing - Review, code, and process a high volume of invoices accurately and efficiently.
  2. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures while processing invoices.
  3. Resolve invoice discrepancies and issues promptly.
  4. Vendor Aging Report - Review to ensure that the amounts accurately reflect the vendor's balance and there is no excessively aged credit balance for any particular vendor.
  5. Provide documentation to support the month-end reconciliation process.
  6. Assist in month-end closing activities, including account reconciliation and accruals.
  7. Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation as required.
  8. Ensure that supervised staff members are properly equipped to complete their tasks consistently.

What You’ll Bring

  1. An undergraduate degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or equivalent combined education and work experience is required.
  2. Greater than 10 years of managing Accounts Payable functions is required.
  3. Prior experience with Concur preferred.
  4. Experience managing staff remotely both in-house and outsourced.
  5. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  6. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  7. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  8. Excellent oral & written communication skills in English are required.
  9. Strong organizational & analytical skills (including MS Excel – pivot tables, v-lookups, etc.).
  10. Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  11. Prior experience using Microsoft Dynamics AX and D365 ERP platforms or similar platforms is preferred.
