Job summary

RQ Construction LLC in Norfolk, VA is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead projects on base sites from planning through final completion. This on-site role supports field operations and requires local candidates; some travel/relocation may be needed.

Candidates should have a bachelor's in engineering/construction management, 2+ years PM experience, and 6+ years in related roles; familiarity with design-build and DoD projects is a plus. Competitive benefits available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline; equivalent combinations may be considered.
• Minimum of 2 years of commercial construction project management experience.
• At least 6 years of progressing experience as Project Engineer/Asst Project Manager or similar role.
• Experience in design-build construction preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Office and internet-based systems.
• Familiarity with Primavera P3/P6, Viewpoint, BIM, or Revit preferred.
• CPR, First Aid, and OSHA 30 certifications required (training available).
• STS certification preferred.
• LEED GA or AP/AP+ credentials are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all phases of construction projects from planning through final completion.
• Support field operations on base projects in Norfolk, VA and nearby areas.
• Coordinate with design-build teams and subcontractors to meet schedule and budget.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and DoD requirements.
