Job summary

RQC, LLC is seeking a Construction Project Engineer (PE) to support our Field Operations in Norfolk, Virginia. This on-site role contributes to complex commercial construction on an active military installation, with responsibilities spanning planning, scheduling, documentation, and controls.

The project engineer will work through planning to closeout, with potential for additional PM duties based on experience. Norfolk-area candidates are preferred but remote possibilities may be considered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CM/Engineering/related field or equivalent experience.
• Proficient with MS Office and job-specific software; ability to navigate web-based systems.
• Certifications in CPR/First Aid/OSHA 30; OSHA 30 training available if needed.
• Experience with Primavera P3/P6, Viewpoint, BIM or Revit preferred.
• LEED GA and QCM certifications are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support project execution from planning through closeout.
• Assist with scheduling, coordination, documentation, and project controls.
• Take on additional project management tasks as needed depending on experience.

RQC, LLC is looking for a Construction Project Engineer (PE) to support our Field Operations team in Norfolk, Virginia. This on-site role offers the opportunity to contribute to complex commercial construction projects located on an active military installation.

Construction Project Engineer | Norfolk, VA

The Project Engineer supports project execution from initial planning through closeout. Responsibilities include assisting with scheduling, coordination, project administration, documentation, and project controls. Depending on project needs and experience, additional project management responsibilities may be assigned.

This is an on-site position. Candidates located in the Norfolk area are encouraged to apply, while qualified applicants from outside the area may also be considered.

Compensation & Benefits

• Annual Salary: $65,000-$80,000

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field; equivalent education, training, and relevant experience may be considered
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook, and web-based applications
• CPR, First Aid, and OSHA 30 certifications; training can be provided as needed
• Experience with Primavera P3/P6, Viewpoint, BIM, or Revit preferred
• LEED Green Associate (GA) credential preferred
• Quality Control Management (QCM) certification preferred
