Position Summary

The purpose of the Nordic Supervisor position is to ensure an outstanding guest experience for all Nordic guests through daily leadership and oversight of Nordic departmental personnel in accordance with company and departmental policies.

The position requires a strong interest and proficiency in Nordic skiing; a basic understanding of Nordic grooming; and a complete knowledge of all Nordic Center services and daily operations. This is a full-time and seasonal position; however, hours may be reduced at various times during the season.

Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities
Daily Operations
  • Perform opening and closing duties of daily business and facilities.
  • Participate in a morning Ops meeting with Nordic grooming, patrol, and manager to determine tasks , concerns, and operating sta t us for the day.
  • Prepare the Daily Conditions Report.
  • Maintain safety and cleanliness of the Lodge facility, contacting Lodge Services and Building Maintenance when required .
  • Handle and coordinate Nordic Center incidents, contacting emergency personnel when required .
  • Provide gracious and effective handling of all guest and employee concerns and problems.
  • Communicate regularly with the Nordic Manager regarding safety issues, operational needs, staffing, and personnel issues.
Nordic Ticketing and Guest Services
  • Ensure efficient and accurate performance and sales at the Nordic ticketing desk.
  • Train and oversee the Lodge Staff team , supporting the m as needed.
  • Answer a wide range of guest and employee questions in-person, via phone , and via email, always empl oying superb customer service.
Retail Shop
  • Ensure accurate sales , security, and merchandising of reta il inventory.
  • Assist shoppers with retail purchases , questions , and concerns.
  • Maintain a high level of product knowledge and support the Lodge Staff in making retail sales and keeping up the shop.
Nordic Ski School
  • Facilit ate program sales online, via phone, and in person . Answer detailed questions regarding scheduling, scope, instructor qualifications, and more. this r equires use of several complex computer programs (RTP and Flaik ) , patience , and exceptional customer service.
  • Perform daily lesson and instructor assignments with a high degree of attention to detail .
  • Check in students , collect payments, ensure lessons start on time, and troubleshoot challenges that may arise before, during, and after lessons .
Nordic Rentals
  • Oversee daily rental operations and staff , ensuring that rental equipment is correctly sold , distributed, and fitted for customers and that it is returned in good condition at the end of the day.
  • Ensure that the Nordic rental fleet is regularly waxed and maintained in good repair.
  • Ensure that customer waxes and repairs are completed in a high-quality and timely manner.
Nordic Cafe
  • Assist the Nordic Cafe Staff as needed, including preparing food, washing dishes, and stocking as directed by the Cafe Lead.
  • Coordinate with the Cafe Staff and Nordic Manager to cover the Cafe Staff during lunch and rest breaks as needed .
  • Ensure health and safety standards are met at all times and troubleshoot issues promptly as they arise.
Staff Management
  • Train and oversee the Lodge Staff team who work in Nordic ticketing, rentals, and retail roles. Trouble shoot challenges as they arise. Mana ge the rest and meal break schedule for the Lodge Staff team. Through training, culture, and daily management, s upport t his team to succeed in their roles.
  • Make daily lesson assignments for the Nordic Instructors and communicate the daily lesson schedule to the Instructor Team. Use Flaik and RTP for this work.
  • Provide support as needed to Nordic Staff in other roles including Cafe Staff,
