The role involves supervising students across playgrounds, cafeterias, and classrooms as directed by the principal, promoting safe behavior, and reinforcing positive conduct. Candidates should maintain good health, pass background checks, have reliable attendance, and demonstrate warmth and decisive judgment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must be of good health; and be able to lift, bend, and stretch as job requires.
• Must have a good attendance record.
• Must possess good decision-making skills.
• Must be flexible in work assignments.
• Must demonstrate sociability and warmth in attitude towards others.
• Must pass background checks and comply with state and district requirements for working with students.

Position Summary

We are seeking a dedicated individual to add to our team at Tobey Elementary School as a Noon Supervisor. This position works student days only 10:30-1:30pm, approximately 15 hours/week. This position is eligible to accrue sick leave through the Michigan Earned Sick Time Act, 1 hour for every 30 hours worked.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students to, from and on the playground, in lunch areas, in the classroom and on campus as directed by the principal or their designee.
• Enforce playground, lunch area, and campus behavior standards.
• Organize and supervise playground activities.
• Acknowledge and reinforce desirable student behaviors.
• Report serious problems that arise due to behaviors or injuries to the main office.
• General duties as assigned by the principal or their designee.
