Job summary

FRUITPORT COMMUNITY SCHOOLS seeks a Noon Supervisor for Edgewood Elementary to support students during arriving, lunch, and recess times. The role involves supervising drop-off, lunch, and playground activities, enforcing ROCKS expectations, and logging behaviors using SWIS.

Duties include basic first aid and outdoor duty in winter, with coordination by school administration. Hours are 5 per day across student days, 8:15 am–9:15 am and 11:00 am–3:00 pm, totaling 25 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with elementary students preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise drop-off routine: manage student behaviors, breakfast in the cafeteria, drop-off lane, and playground.
• Supervise lunch: manage student behaviors, wash tables, dismiss students to recess, etc.
• Supervise recess: manage student behaviors, patrol playground, dismiss students to line spots.
• Proactively build student relationships to mitigate student behaviors.
• Hold students accountable to ROCKS expectations.
• Use school-wide incentives to acknowledge positive student behavior (ROCKS slips).
• Use SWIS behavior referral program to record student behavior.
• Assist students with minor first aid.
• Work outside in winter conditions.
• Other duties as assigned by the school administration.

HOURS: Monday- Friday, student days only

• Previous experience with elementary students is preferred.
