Job summary

Fruitport Community Schools is hiring a Noon Supervisor at Edgewood Elementary. This part–time role runs Monday–Friday on student days, totaling 25 hours per week (5 hours daily) with schedule 8:15–9:15 and 11:00–3:00.

Duties include supervising drop-off, lunch, and recess; proactively building positive student relationships; enforcing ROCKS expectations; recording behavior via SWIS; and providing minor first aid. Outdoor work in winter is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience with elementary students is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise drop-off routine: manage student behaviors, breakfast in the cafeteria, drop-off lane, and playground.
• Supervise lunch: manage student behaviors, wash tables, dismiss students to recess, etc.
• Supervise recess: manage student behaviors, actively patrol the playground, dismiss students to line spots, etc.
• Proactively build student relationships to mitigate student behaviors.
• Hold students accountable to ROCKS expectations.
• Use school-wide incentives to acknowledge positive student behavior (ROCKS slips).
• Use behavior referral program (SWIS) to record student behavior.
• Assist students with minor first aid.
• Work outside in winter conditions.
• Other duties as assigned by the school administration.
