Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
• 2+ years of accounting experience preferred.
• Nonprofit, fund accounting, or grant accounting exposure a plus.
• Experience with restricted funds, grant budgets, or grant reporting preferred.
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and account reconciliations.

Responsibilities

• Assist with monthly general ledger close and journal entry preparation.
• Perform account reconciliations, including cash, grants receivable, prepaid expenses, and balance sheet accounts.
• Support accounting and tracking for restricted and unrestricted funds.
• Assist with grant accounting, including recording grant revenue and tracking grant-related expenditures.
• Monitor grant budgets and compare actual expenses to approved funding levels.
• Ensure expenses are properly coded and allocated to the appropriate grant, program, department, or funding source.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual grant financial reporting.
• Prepare grant-related schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
