Job summary

Beacon Hill Staffing Group, LLC is seeking a Social Media & Comms Associate for a nonprofit in Washington, DC. This temporary-to-permanent role focuses on digital content across social channels, newsletters, blogs, and websites, with collaboration across multicultural teams.

You will manage website content, analytics, and assist with campaigns highlighting research and advocacy. The ideal candidate has 2+ years in communications and strong writing/editing skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, English, or a related field.
• 2+ years of communications, content creation, digital marketing, or advocacy communications experience.
• Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with the ability to tailor content for different platforms and audiences.
• Experience with social media, email marketing, website management, analytics, and content management systems.
• Familiarity with tools such as WordPress, Webflow, Mailchimp, Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud, or Hootsuite.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Comfortable working independently and within multicultural, cross-functional teams.
• Experience with social impact, human rights, environmental, nonprofit, or international development organizations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the development and promotion of digital content across social media, email campaigns, newsletters, blogs, videos, and websites.
• Manage website content, analytics reporting, and coordination with external web vendors.
• Assist with digital campaigns, content strategy, and communications initiatives that highlight research, advocacy efforts, and coalition impact.
• Support newsletter production, social media outreach, and communications project coordination.
• Build relationships with coalition members and external partners to expand engagement and content reach.
• Collaborate with global, multicultural teams to create engaging content for diverse audiences.
