Base Pay Range

$70,000.00/yr - $85,000.00/yr

This fast‑paced, growing nonprofit is seeking a skilled Communications Specialist to foster community relations and develop internal and external communications strategies. The successful candidate is someone who has a flexible attitude, is highly proactive and motivated, and eager to take on a variety of tasks. Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and distribute both internal and external communications materials such as newsletters, reports, presentations, and memos.
  • Coordinate logistics for community visits, events, stakeholder meetings, and engagement activities.
  • Manage website updates and social media content, ensuring alignment with overall organization objectives and goals.
  • Continually build and maintain relationships with partner organizations; represent the organization at community events and meetings.
  • Support outreach and engagement efforts by conducting background research.
  • Compile and create reports on communications and community projects, effectively summarize key trends and updates.
  • Maintain and manage database of stakeholders, track trends within communications, and coordinate additional projects as needed.

What We’re Looking For
  • Communications experienced: you have a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of two (2) or more years of relevant experience within communications, public relations or public affairs.
  • Technologically skilled: you can easily navigate a variety of software platforms including Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, and media management platforms such as Sprout Social, Hootsuite, WordPress, and Mailchimp.
  • Multitasker: you enjoy juggling competing deadlines and prioritizing tasks. Time management and problem‑solving are strengths of yours.
  • People person: you have exceptional interpersonal skills and thrive as a member of a team, taking pride in fostering strong relationships with others.
  • Go bag ready: this role will require some flexibility to travel within the US, and flexibility to attend meetings and events after regular business hours is also expected.
