Job summary

Lafourche Arc is seeking a Senior Accountant to strengthen financial decision-making through cost reporting, budgeting, variance analysis and performance monitoring for a nonprofit organization. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a major in Accounting and 3–5 years nonprofit experience.
• Knowledge of Medicaid regulations and nonprofit accounting practices.
• Ability to work with auditors and maintain internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Analyze department and operating costs to identify trends and savings.
• Lead annual budgeting process and coordinate with departments.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual cost reports for management.
• Perform variance analysis comparing actual costs to budgets and forecasts.
• Collaborate with directors to ensure accurate budget assumptions.
