Job summary

Jewish Family Service of San Diego is seeking a Power BI Dashboard Specialist to design, build, and maintain dashboards that merge program data with organizational datasets such as finance and HR. You will work under the Strategic Integration Manager, using validated data prepared by the Data Analyst to support program leaders, executives, and funders with clear insights.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience building dashboards in Power BI or Tableau, including data modeling and DAX.
• Portfolio or examples of dashboards designed for non-technical audiences.
• Strong data visualization and user-centered design knowledge.
• Advanced Excel skills with formulas, graphs, and pivot tables.
• Ability to handle confidential client information responsibly.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving orientation.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports for program, agency, and funder needs.
• Build data models and DAX measures from validated datasets prepared by the Data Analyst.
• Apply consistent metric definitions and templates across dashboards.
• Manage dashboard publishing, refresh schedules, and access permissions to protect data.
• Translate requirements into intuitive layouts and ensure usability and accessibility.
• Create user guides and provide training for staff on dashboard usage.
• Identify data quality issues and coordinate with the Data Analyst for corrections.
• Develop integrated metrics combining program data with finance, HR, and development data.
