Express Employment Professionals - Cincinnati East is seeking a Finance Manager in Monroe, NC to oversee day-to-day financial operations, grant accounting, and reporting for a nonprofit. The role involves audits, budgeting, and financial process improvements to support leadership with timely analysis.

Ideal candidates will have strong accounting/bookkeeping experience, audit background, and expert Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Strong accounting and bookkeeping background with solid understanding of accounting principles.
• Experience preparing for and participating in financial audits.
• Experience with AP, AR, GL, Journal Entries, Bank Reconciliations, Financial Reporting, Budget Management.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including formulas, linked workbooks, pivot tables, and reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounting and financial operations for multiple grant-funded programs totaling more than $5 million annually.
• Prepare monthly financial reports, budget analyses, and financial projections.
• Develop and present board-level financial reports and treasurer reports.
• Complete monthly financial close processes and required state reporting.
• Monitor spending against budgets and provide financial recommendations to leadership.
• Support grant budgeting and financial reporting requirements.
• Lead annual audit preparation and provide supporting schedules, reports, and documentation.
• Reconcile accounts and coordinate with external accounting firm.
