Job summary

Sheikh/Impact invites you to join a six-month paid internship aimed at strengthening nonprofit capacity. You will support organizational development, fundraising, and communications as part of our client services team.

You will conduct research on funders, help draft proposals, and assist with storytelling and reports to advance our clients’ missions. The role emphasizes writing excellence, curiosity across community issues, and the ability to work both remotely and in-person in the San Pedro

Qualifications

  • Recent or emerging graduate in nonprofit, marketing, communications, or public administration.
  • Motivated self-starter with ability to develop creative solutions.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time.
  • Superior written communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Research public and private funders and individual donors.
  • Collaborate with client services to craft pitches and case for support.
  • Track and manage funder pipelines for clients.
  • Draft and refine grant proposals, LOIs, reports, and strategic plans.
  • Interview community stakeholders to inform strategy.
  • Craft testimonials and stories for client publications.
