Grassroot Institute of Hawaii seeks a motivated development intern to support fundraising and development operations. You will work under the director of development on donor research, outreach, and materials, gaining hands-on experience in nonprofit fundraising and donor relations.

Responsibilities include donor research, preparing briefings, maintaining records, assisting with grants and events, and supporting communications.

Strong writing and analytical skills for clear donor communications.
Detail-oriented with efficient information organization.
Professional communication with donors, community leaders, and partners.

Responsabilités

Conduct donor and prospect research across individuals, foundations, and corporations.
Assist with donor identification and development planning.
Prepare donor briefings, profiles, and research reports.
Maintain donor records and development files.
Support grant research, applications, and donor correspondence.
Assist with donor communications, invitations, and stewardship materials.
Plan and execute fundraising events and donor meetings.
Support finance with donations reporting and reconciliation.
Assist staff with special projects to support growth.
Participate in staff calls and development meetings.
Handle confidential donor and financial information with discretion.
