Job summary

Express Employment Professionals - Cincinnati East seeks a Finance Manager in Monroe, NC to lead day-to-day financial operations, grant accounting, and reporting. This on-site role focuses on compliance, budgeting, and strategic financial analysis for multiple funding streams.

The ideal candidate brings strong accounting, audit experience, and advanced Excel skills, with the ability to manage deadlines and work independently in a deadline-driven nonprofit setting.

Qualifications

• Strong accounting and bookkeeping background with solid understanding of accounting principles.
• Experience preparing for and participating in financial audits.
• Experience with: Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger, Journal Entries, Bank Reconciliations, Financial Reporting, Budget Management.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including formulas, linked workbooks, pivot tables, and reporting tools.
• Experience working independently and managing deadlines.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day financial operations and grant/reimbursement accounting.
• Prepare monthly financial reports, budget analyses, and projections.
• Develop and present board-level financial reports and treasurer reports.
• Complete monthly close processes and state reporting.
